It was very intimidating I must say the first night I attended class. I remember it clearly… August 26, 2014! I saw these women and I was saying to myself there is no way I belong here.  It was very hard for me emotionally because I have always been in shape but then life happens. I gained over 70 pounds since my college graduation.

I kept going even though it was tough… I still enjoyed it. I could start feeling a difference and immediately signed up for a year. I must say it was addictive!! One of the things I noticed, my body was not changing, but when you work hard with these women you naturally have each other’s back! I have met some of my best friends through class. I tried to take it one workout at a time, one week at a time and one month at time.  When I look back at the picture of my 40th birthday it doesn’t even resemble the same person physically, emotionally or spiritually.

Is it easy? No! Do I still get sore? Yes!! Do I get bored? NEVER!! This has completely changed my life and for that I will forever be thankful!

Back in 2013 I was asked if I wanted to try boot camp. No way… I had lost a few pounds lifting & adding cardio, but I was no way ready for that. After much hesitation & second guessing, I decided to bite the bullet. Wow! It was the hardest workout since my college basketball days. I loved it & hated it all at the same time. I remember my first day like it was yesterday. That was the beginning…

That was all it took. I have lost over 70lbs over the course of 4 years with the accountability, motivation & love I receive from Courtney. I will never go away. It has been 4 wonderful, uplifting years and I plan on it being 40 more. Thank you Grit Fit & Well for changing my life forever.

This extremely fun wife, mom and yes GRANDMOTHER started with us a little over a year ago. With determination and hard work, her pictures and results speak for themselves. Patty is down 8% Body Fat and has lost 7 inches. She started with completing 15 push-ups and 40 sit-ups in two minutes….she NOW cranks out 92 push-ups and 97 sit-ups.

“I served in as a SSG in the US Army. I have always been considered athletic and in shape most of my life. I have completed a marathon and several 5ks. After serving in the military for six years, we decided to start a family. After kids the happy weight seemed to pack on. I played with fad dieting, yo-yo weight gain and loss for the next few years.  It wasn’t until January 2012, when the doctor shared with me, that I was on the road to heart disease if I didn’t start to change. I joined a gym a few months prior to this news and attended five days a week for two hours a day, with no results.  I had a few friends who had tried BCC, so I asked what I have to lose other than weight. I started in February, and it was over. The results came with the hard work and dedication that BCC had to offer.  I truly enjoy the camaraderie  within the group and love motivating people to push themselves a little harder. I feel in love with the idea of actually becoming a personal trainer, I wanted to help people change their lives, like mine had been changed.  In January I was 183 lbs in a size 14, today I am a healthy 145 in a size 3. I am now a certified personal trainer through the American council on exercise. I have learned the skills, but the question is do you have the will to make you a healthier better you!”

“I feel like a new person. I sat on the couch every night because I was too tired to do anything else. Now I’m sore almost every day and most days when we work out I swear you’re trying to kill me, but I love it and I wouldn’t change one moment. The time that we workout is the only time I can put my mind almost at ease and just go with it. No thinking about work, kids, family, problems, etc. The physical change is amazing, I am practically never sick anymore and I have more energy than I can remember. It’s changed my life.”

“I have been a part of Boot Camp Challenge for 22 months. At first, I was very reluctant to try it because I thought it would be too hard, and I wouldn’t be able to do the exercises. Thankfully, a friend talked me into it. My life has changed so much due to this program. My self-confidence has improved, and I feel so much better about myself. I am in the best shape of my life, and I am amazed at what I have been able to do. Besides improving my strength and endurance, Boot Camp Challenge has really helped me with my eating habits. I needed someone to help me be more accountable for my eating, and the trainers have really helped me to change my thinking when it comes to food. The trainers and class members really do help with motivation and support. I can’t imagine my life without this program. The trainers have helped me to do things that I thought were impossible. Now I am constantly revising my goals and challenging myself.”

“I can honestly say Boot Camp Challenge changed my life! I had never exercised other than getting on the treadmill for 20 minutes a couple of times a week! I hated to exercise. I signed up for Boot Camp Challenge and begged my co-worker to do it with me! The first month was really hard… but then my body adjusted to it and was fine…five months later I am love and down 53lbs! I am addicted! What I love the most is every day is different challenge. It is never the same so you don’t get bored with it. Courtney reminds us daily of why we are at Boot Camp. She has changed my way of thinking, eating, and somehow got me to love exercise. And best of all, I have gone from a size 14 to a size 7 and have lost 53 pounds!”
