And the trainer is.... Courtney Mambourg aka boss lady 👊🏻 How did you get into fitness?It seemed every time life got the best of me, fitness saved me.
When I first moved to Clarksville, I knew no one. I didn’t work and felt lost. I started working out and watched my body and attitude change.
Friends and family started to notice and ask for help. I realized this was my passion and the rest has been history.
In 2016, after years of traveling out of my car to different places in town, I realized the only way to reach more people is to build a facility. On December 24, 2016, we opened our doors here at GRIT!What is the best part of your job?100% the people.
Watching fitness “save” them or serve as an escape from the chaos of life or do something they have never done before, moves me like no other.
What would you consider your area of speciality?I love the energy of a large boot camp class, but also enjoy just as much the 1 on 1 training with specific needs or sports performance goals such as golf.
What makes GRIT great?
The CAMARADERIE! Its amazing to watch every single person who walks through this door so encouraging and motivating of everyone.

And the GRIT trainer is....Cole Hyde 💪🏻 Why did you get into fitness? And why is it so important to you?1. I started working out because I needed to be faster and stronger than I was. I was only 120 lbs when I went to college and was told to either get bigger and stronger or I would play at that school. After the semester I was weighing in around 185 and lifting twice my body weight with ease. More importantly I felt better, no just being more confident in how I how I looked but I generally felt better day to day.
Now fitness is important to me because of how beneficial it is for my day to day life. If I don’t get to workout, if I don’t eat good, if I don’t stretch, I won’t feel right all day long. Fitness is what allows me to live and do the things I enjoy and get the most out of everyday.
What is the best part of your job?2. The best part about being a trainer is seeing my clients transformations and progressions. Whether their an athlete who gets faster, or a weight loss client that drops 20 lbs, or even someone coming off knee surgery and them walking normal again, it’s always rewarding seeing the positive change everyone makes.What would you consider your area of speciality?3. I would say my area of speciality would be between weight loss transformation athlete training (more specifically baseball and softball players). What makes GRIT great?4. I think what makes GRIT great is that it’s a community in itself. I’ve worked out and trained in probably 20 different gyms and facilities but I’ve never been to one where everyone was as close and worked as well together as everyone at GRIT.
